Zero8 is something completely different. The chorus was founded in 2007 by American Doug Harrington and has its roots in showmanship, emotion and storytelling. Zero8 made its first international imprint in 2009 when it took everyone by surprise (including themselves) by finishing 7th at the International Championships in Barbershop in Anaheim, California. Since then it has continued to improve by earning both 5th and 4th placements in that same competition as well as winning a European Grand Prix in classical singing in 2015 in Rimini, Italy. In 2015 I was asked to redesign the chorus’ graphic profile to something bolder and more distinguishable in the choral scene. The project involved a new logotype, clothing, video editing, an additional twist to the logo for the chorus’ annual member awards and a new website .

Zero8

Sweden has a rich and long lasting choir tradition. The Swedish Radio Choir is considered one of the best professional classical choirs in the world. Lunds Studentsångare, founded in 1831, and Orphei Drängar, founded in 1853, are two world class male choirs that have become synonymous with tradition and quality. With such an incredibly established artform it’s hard to break through with something different that goes against the norm that Swedes are used to associate with choir music.

Limu, Limu, Lima, Gud, låt solen skina över bergena blå, över kullorna små, som i skogen ska gå om sommaren.
